We hope you’re as excited as we are – CoderDojo Brisbane’s term 4 program kicks off this weekend at Chermside and Sunnybank Hills Library.
Our Carindale term 4 program will commence the following Saturday 18 October, followed by Kenmore on Saturday 25 October. All programs are sold out however as cancellations do arise waitlisted participants will be allocated a spot accordingly. Please be sure to regularly check your emails for correspondence.
This term each location will continue to work through various programs and work towards developing our participants coding skills. Our mentors come from a variety of I.T backgrounds and are there to support, guide and teach various forms of coding. Programs will include Scratch, Alice, Python, HTML, CSS and more.
Our recent Web Development pilot program is proving to be a huge success, running out of Brisbane Square Library. Working through the basics of HTML the program will move towards more advanced coding this weekend as week 4 commences. The skills that are being taught within this program will slowly begin to be rolled out across our various Brisbane locations, working in with our mentors skills and expertise. Stay tuned!

This week we held our first CoderDojo Brisbane mentor networking evening, the night proved to be very successful and beneficial for all involved. We heard from lead mentors John Harrison, Tania Dempsey, Morgan Daly and Dylan Shearer on what the latest is from their locations and what we can expect moving forward.
We have a bunch of new mentors this term from various backgrounds and are looking forward to seeing them in action. We are always on the hunt for more mentors, if you are interested in getting involved please be sure to register here.
