CoderDojo Indooroopilly Library Round-up
We had our last session for Term 2 at Indooroopilly Library on Saturday, finishing off in style with an IndroDojo break-up party. There were the typical party food staples including chips, lollies, lamingtons and cupcakes as well as sushi and pizza thanks to our wonderful mentors, parents and participants.
Saturday’s session was a perfect end to a great CoderDojo series at Indooroopilly Library, where we had several fantastic demonstrations from our very clever participants. It was great to see what the kids were able to create and even better watching the kids play each other’s games. We also had a great demonstration from one of our mentors where the kids were introduced to prorgram ‘App Inventor 2’, which focuses on programing applications for Android devices.
Overall, CoderDojo at Indooroopilly Library was a great success, with kids, parents and mentors all looking forward to future sessions.
CoderDojo Sunnybank Hills Update
We had another fantastic session at Sunnybank Hills Library on Saturday, where the kids continued working on their games in Scratch as well as programming in Unity 3D. It’s ‘Demonstration Day’ at this Saturday’s last session at Sunnybank Hills so we’re looking forward to seeing what the kids have created.
